Join us at Booth #10060 at IVT Expo
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be exhibiting at IVT Expo on June 11-12, 2025, – the premier trade event that brings together OEMs, engineers, suppliers, and industry professionals from the industrial vehicle technology sector to showcase the latest advancements shaping the future of the industry.
Location: Booth #10060, Hall 4.1, Köln Messe, Cologne, Germany
Visit us at our booth to explore our advanced battery systems, featuring our patented immersion cooling technology. From safety and thermal management to modularity, energy density, and battery power, we’d love to hear about your projects and key challenges, and discuss how our solutions can help you successfully electrify your machines.
Join us at the conference
Alongside the exhibition, don’t miss the IVT Expo conference, where WATTALPS CEO Matthieu Desbois-Renaudin will be presenting together with Tyler Dorin, Project Engineer at Vermeer.
Joint talk: Vermeer / WATTALPS
Plenary, Day 2, 12 Jun 2025, 10:30 – 10:50
“Case Study: Battery Selection and Validation for a Horizontal Electric Driller”
This insightful session will explore the critical aspects of battery selection and validation through a real-world case-study.
After more than two years of extensive testing and validation, Vermeer launched its new D20x22 S3E electric horizontal drill. The challenges of electrification are numerous for the demanding applications of Vermeer machines: to capitalize as much as possible on each development; to deliver in various regions, working in the cold winter of Iowa or Northern Europe up to the hot summer of South Europe or the Middle East; and to deliver maximum power in a limited space.
This presentation will explain Vermeer’s decision-making process in selecting Wattalps’ innovative immersion cooling technology, followed by an in-depth look at the battery validation process that ensured optimal performance for this pioneering electric drilling solution.
- The selection of a battery pack maker to electrify series production of off-road equipment
- The validation process of a battery electric driller
- Lessons learned from a two-year validation process
- The effects of battery thermal management on machine productivity
- The importance of cooperation between the battery pack maker and machine manufacturer
