This technology is the result of research initiated at the French research institute CEA in 2013, further developed over several years at WATTALPS, and protected by seven patents.

Full immersion of each cell
WATTALPS technology immerses all battery cells, and the busbars, in a dielectric fluid that is non-flammable, biodegradable, and non-toxic.
Unique fluid circulation design
This fluid, combined with its unique and patented circulation design around the cells, guarantees uniform temperature control throughout the battery pack.
For most demanding applications, the system can integrate a heater, cooler, or chiller into its circuit for enhanced thermal regulation.
For standard applications, there is even no need for circulating the fluid. Immersion of the cells already significantly increases battery safety, performance and life in comparison with traditional batteries.
No maintenance
No need for fluid replacement. No maintenance on the system is required. The hydraulic circuit is designed to remain maintenance-free throughout the battery’s entire lifespan.
