WATTALPS is recognized as an Engaged Company for the Ecological Transition by ADEME.

Barbara Pompili, the ministry for Ecological Transition has announced on the 24th of September the prizewinners of the call for small and medium sized companies managed by ADEME (Economic Development and Energy Agency). WATTALPS is one of the 96 companies recognized as Engaged Company for the Ecological Transition.

This results in a grant of 100k€ for WATTALPS to help set up its battery production line in the Alps, 45 mn away from Lyon Saint Exupery Airport. This is part of the “France Relance” (France Restart) plan to boost the ecological transition after the Covid crisis. To face the growing demand in batteries for industrial vehicles, WATTALPS’ factory is sized to assemble up to 50 MWh of batteries per year (sufficient to equip 2,000 full electric mini-excavator each year).

Thanks to the expertise of ADEME and thanks to the dynamism of the company managers all around our country, we are reshaping our economy” said Barbara Pompili, ministry of Ecological Transition of France.

WATTALPS wants to thank ADEME and the government of France for this help in developing its batteries to create a sustainable and circular economy in heavy duty industrial equipment.
