WATTALPS moves into its new headquarters! Located in Moirans (38), 410 avenue Aldo Eriani, this building of 1500 m² on a 2700 m² plot enables WATTALPS to significantly increase its production capacity. The building is divided into 3 separate areas:

  • 1 central building for goods receipt, component control and mechanical and electronics laboratories
  • 1 south building dedicated to the manufacturing and test of WATTALPS battery modules
  • 1 north building dedicated to battery pack assembly and full battery tests, with safety and temperature management

After the fire of its workshop in October 2020, this new building enables WATTALPS to increase its resilience to fire issues and quickly restart production. Indeed, the loss of its workshop did not brake WATTALPS in its very innovative technology development. During this period a significant effort has been made on the product and process robustness to ensure high quality through the whole product life. This has been made possible thanks to WATTALPS’s partners confidence, in particular financial partners, investors and the European Union.

The new assembly line is being installed. First modules will be assembled this summer and first full batteries will be delivered in Fall 2021. So as to finalize its industrial development, WATTALPS has lately hired a new hardware electronics engineer and a quality and safety engineer, experienced in the industrial battery sector. The whole WATTALPS team is at work to bring to its customers modular, high performance and safe battery solutions.

WATTALPS wants to thank Pays Voironnais, Bobinage Centr’Alp, EFP Industrie, Pomagalski and Rio Tinto for their support during the period following the fire and dedicated to find this buidling and adapt it to its activities.
