WATTALPS has been awarded the Euromaritime Award for safety & security at sea during the Euromaritime 2026 exhibition held last week in Marseille, France.
A panel of maritime experts evaluated nearly forty candidates, and awarded five prizes, with WATTALPS winning the one dedicated to safety and security at sea.
The distinction, which recognizes recent progress in maritime battery safety, highlights WATTALPS’ innovative and safe battery solutions for the maritime sector.
Battery safety with WATTALPS solutions
The award specifically highlights WATTALPS immersion cooling technology, which enables precise temperature control and homogeneity of the battery pack at the cell level. This is achieved thanks to the full immersion of the battery cells, including the busbars, in a dielectric, non-flammable fluid, combined with a unique fluid circulation design around the cells.

Marine Type Approval celebrated at Euromaritime 2026
This recognition follows the recent Marine Type Approval granted to WATTALPS by Bureau Veritas, which was also celebrated during the Euromaritime exhibition at the WATTALPS booth.
For this occasion, Matthieu Desbois Renaudin, President of WATTALPS, and Bruno Delannoy from Bureau Veritas made a joint presentation, and gave an overview of the Marine Type Approval process and its demanding requirements.
The presentation was followed by a friendly gathering at the WATTALPS booth, offering attendees an opportunity to celebrate and discuss the certification and safety at sea.
